nickeyb and I had a good time yesterday at Collectormania 10! Got to see David Wenham, Ian Somerhalder, Maggie Grace and Sam Anderson, who were all lovely. Too bad they didn't allow posed pictures with Daisy! But it was fun, and we were lucky to run into
salwood and
patsie at the Costa's before they went on their respective ways home. Couldn't see
trianne anywhere unfortunately, and found out when we got home that her car had broken down 10 minutes into the journey to Milton Keynes! :( At least there's still RingCon though! Sorry
kneonlight and Mrs. Kneonlight for the change in program - would have loved to see you two again! But who knows, maybe at another Collectormania or Serenity: Infinity... :)
I found an adorable little doll of Gizmo (from the Gremlins) at one merchandise stall, and since I had wanted one since the first film came out, I of course had to take him home with me. *g* One stall also had dirt cheap complete trading card sets (£2.50 and £3.00 mostly) so I got the Lost: Revelations, Firefly and Serenity sets.
nickeyb did some successful clothes shopping at the mall, so an overall good day was had despite it being tiring. :)
Today
nickeyb is at a roleplaying event which she'd booked for a while, so she left a short while ago and won't be home until late evening, which gives me time to sort through and pack my stuff, do some more revision etc. It's hard to believe that tomorrow I'll already be flying home again - this holiday certainly has proven again that time flies when you're having fun! At least I still have another week before I have to get back to work, but it will be filled with revision for my exam on 10th October. Eeek! If I'm lucky and the arthouse cinema that currently is showing Paris je t'aime in Zurich keeps it on for another week,
I can go see it after the exam (at 6pm) and take the 8pm train home. But I won't know before this Tuesday, as that's when they put up the program for the following week. I must admit I was playing with the thought of going to see it after I get back tomorrow, since the cinema is quite close to Zurich main station, but I doubt I could make the 3pm showing, and even if I'd just go in late or go to the 6pm showing, of course I'd still have all my luggage with me... But if I don't go and they don't keep it on for another week, I will most likely have to wait for the DVD release. Well, I'll see what I feel like doing tomorrow after I landed in Zurich. :)
*yawns* Right, time for a bite...
