Miss Rue told us about them~ I guess three years ago or so, there was a massive flood in the City, and there was an invasion of sea monsters and a giant squid named Cracker. It was horrible.

Their mothers must have been very hungry when they named them - because they wanted apples~ It makes a lot of sense.
