always keep the faith

Always.

Jaejoong sighed as he looked out onto the forest. It was brilliant, beyond that, it was breath taking. The canopy was filled with the chirps of various exotic birds, the floor filled with the scatter of different rodents and Jaejoong marvelled in amazement at what say before him.

“Turn around and face the camera Jaejoong” The director called to him.

Jaejoong turned and made a face towards the camera, but than softened before it finished into one of his awkward smiles. Yoochun clambered down from the forest, a camera sitting around his neck and smiled as he neared Jaejoong.

There were a total of two flashes before Yoochun handed him the Polaroids. “The last one was one that I took a while ago, I thought you might want a copy of it as well” He smirked as he climbed back into the forest.

The first was one of the to trees behind him. Even on glossy film it was breath taking, but obviously there was no competition between the picture and the real thing.

The second was a candid shot of Jaejoong, his eyes were half closed, his lips formed in an awkward smile, his right hand running through his hair. Jaejoong giggled at how happy, comfortable and relaxed he looked in the photo.

The last was one bought a smile to his lips. It was by far the best out of any picture any of the five of them had ever been in. He subconsciously pressed his lips to the Polaroid and tucked it into his back pocket, looking up and he cheerfully waved at the camera.

He would have this photo with him, always.

Keep.

Changmin sat on the edge of the docks and smiled, it was quiet and peaceful. He looked around at the boats that surrounded him, images of his future flickering before his eyes - imminent disbandment, possibly a solo career and maybe ever retirement - he didn’t want any of those things to happen. Ever.

He wanted the world to stop, right now, and just freeze exactly as it is at this very moment in time. The strip of wood began to sway side from side and Changmin knew someone was coming up towards him.

Yoochun screamed “Changminah!” and in his surprise Changmin almost fell off the dock. Yoochun laughed, and another flash flew by the youngest. And as quick as he came, Yoochun threw the three pictures at the young boy and ran off, towards safe dry land.

Changmin scrambled to pick up the pictures before they were lifted off on the breeze and laughed the instant he saw the first one. It was a solo picture of Changmin, looking a little weird and special in the photo, his arms flailing around him, one eye wide open the other closed, his mouth shaped into an O. He could hear the laughter emitting itself from the photo and smiled, flipping and looking at the others.

The second was a picture of the boat that stood next to Changmin. A first Changmin didn’t really understand why Yoochun had taken a picture of the boat, all the picture had was the bow with words that Changmin couldn’t make out written in golden calligraphy. He craned his head and looked at the boat closely, and smiled as he realised what it said.

S.S. Seuki.

The third photo, was indescribable. Changmin sighed, new images of his future flicking before his eyes - keeping those four boys with him forever no matter what, keeping his career, and keeping this photo, to the point where it would become faded and crinkled. Forever,

He smiled; absentmindedly flattening out imaginary creases, knowing already that he would keep this photo with him forever.

The.

Junsu made himself comfortable on the branch, he shuffled to the left and fidgeted to the right until he found a position just right. Behind him the endless ocean crashed against the shores, the blue melding in with the pale, yellow sand. He gazed behind him and could feel the summer breeze wash pass his face.

If there was one thing that Junsu hated, it was being labelled. The cute one, the talented one, the dolphin. The this and the that. It infuriated him to no end.

“Junsuah!” Yoochun screamed jumping out of nowhere and scaring Junsu. In his fright Junsu fell off his branch and landed on the beach. Two flashes followed soon after and the next thing Junsu knew he had three photo’s sitting his lap.

“I know you will love the last one!” Yoochun yelled back as he ran in the opposite direction.

“Aish” Junsu mumbled, dusting himself and getting back onto the tree branch. At first he fanned himself with the pictures before remembering that he was supposed to look at them. With a loud EUNKYANGKYANG he gazed upon the first one.

Stupid Yoochun took one of him just as he fell off the branch. Right hand in his face, left hand hanging closely by his lower area, his eyes scrunched up in pain and his mouth pierced in a fine line.

He sighed as he pulled out the second photo. He didn’t understand the picture at first, it was just a photo of the sand. But upon closer inspection he realised that Yoochun had written something into the sand. And Junsu giggled as he read what it said

The dolphin to my Micky. Wait that makes no sense. I love you, okay? Don’t tell Yunho though, he might come and eat me later tonight. Take care of yourself Junsuah, don’t make me have to come and strangle you :)

Junsu nodded to himself, making a mental note to show Yunho later, and peered carefully at the last picture.

The third picture bought tears to his eyes, and as he swiftly wiped them away he hugged the picture, bringing it close to his heart. He made himself more comfortable in the chair, shifting left and right until the sun hit the photo just right. It was brilliant, magnificent, fantastic and any other words that you could throw into the sentence.

A wave of idea’s rushed past him as he looked at the photo - The God’s of the East being the main one - and silently he prayed. Prayed that they could stay as The God’s forever. Prayed that nothing ever happened to any of them.

As he prayed he already knew, that this wasn’t just any picture. It was the picture.

Faith.

Yunho smiled as he stepped onto the boat. He knew the boat was supposed to be for the group scenes but he couldn’t help it, he liked feeling like he was the king of the world. He roamed around the desk carefully, holding onto the mast for a little support and laughed as he almost slipped on a puddle of water.

“Hyung!” Yoochun screamed, jumping onto the boat out of nowhere. One flash and than two and Yoochun was gone, leaving behind three photo’s attached to the sail. Yunho, at first, flailed around in the water. Yoochun shocked him so much he went over board and fell head first into the water, getting his perfect white clothes soaking wet.

He suddenly remembered he could swim stupid leadersshi and pushed himself through the water. As a PD handed him a towel he climbed back onto the boat and pulled the pictures angrily off the sail.

His anger almost disappeared as he looked at the first photo. It was one taken from a distance. Yunho stood, hand firmly around the mast, looking up towards the sky. The sky was a perfect, cloudless blue and the sun shone perfectly upon the leader’s face.

His anger seemed to reappear; only a little bit, when he saw the second picture. It was taken in the middle of Yunho’s fall. His eyes and mouth were wide open, the ghost of his scream being evident in the photo. His arms and legs swung anywhere around him as he fell and he winced remembering the pain of hitting the water.

But any emotion he had, anything he felt, disappeared when he looked at the last one. He went numb all over and could feel nothing but faith as he traced his thumb over the bodies in the picture.

If you want someone who believes in something, someone who has faith in everything they do than Yunho is your man. He has faith oozing out of him by the bucketfuls. But recently, he had lost a bit of faith, lost that feeling of belief. But by glancing carefully over every inch of this photo all of it seemed to fall over him, just like he did into the water.

As he walked off the boat and back onto the main island his eyes never left the picture in his hand. This picture, this shot of the five of them had suddenly become his heart, his mind and his faith.

-

Yoochun sunk in the make up chair and let the various people around him move. He held the picture in his hand and smiled. He had taken the picture a while back and only now did he decided to show the others. Yoochun had a talent for photography, he just didn’t like showing it.

“Do you have a pen?” He asked the middle aged women fixing his hair. As she handed him a black biro and quickly finished up with the hairspray he scribbled his four favourite words onto the front of the Polaroid.

“Yoochun! It’s your turn!” He was called for his turn in the photo shoot. He jumped out of the seat and ran towards the door. This morning he was in the process of sticking pictures onto the door frame, and quickly he taped the most recent one in the middle of the others.

Touching his back pocket to make sure he had the four other copies with him, he jumped off to his photo shoot, the Polaroid camera bouncing on his chest.

-

When the others met up together for lunch, they crowded around and shared their pictures. Changmin laughed as he looked at Jaejoong’s and Yunho’s candids and almost cried when he saw Junsu’s. There was a shared awe as they looked at Junsu’s sand and Changmin’s boat. And a couple of nudges as they looked at Yunho’s model shot.

And than suddenly the four of them pulled out their third photo’s and pushed them into a small circle in the middle. They all went silent as they read the short, and heartfelt, message that Yoochun left on each photo. I love you guys.

-

As Yoochun walked back content to his trailer he saw his bands mates surrounding his door, blocking off his entrance. He quietly stood behind Jaejoong (he was the smallest so it was easier to read over his shoulder) and laughed as he looked at what they were reading:

The instant they heard his laugh the four of them turned around and screamed - high pitched fan girl screams as they each told Yoochun what they thought of his photography.

Yoochun smiled as he pulled out his copy of the third picture, adding the final word to his message: a lot.
quick authors note:

each boy got a copy of the same photo but yoochun wrote something different on each picture:

Min - I
Jae - Love
Su - You
Ho - Guys
and chun wrote on his own - a lot.
making the final message: i love you guys, a lot.
