A/N: written for a tumblr friend, maxi. i was going to post it up on tumblr but the html was annoying and like its just better on LJ :D i hope thats okay maxi! :)
five days ;
Day 1:
Day one was a shock. She was packing her things away from the day she had had working at the café, pulling a jacket from the back of her sticker-covered locker when a small envelope fell out. She didn’t notice it at first; she stepped on it twice leaving light brown steps on the top. Picking it up, she noticed the cute writing on the front, accompanied with a picture of a very happy her.

Walking home she couldn’t stop smiling, even the other workers were wondering what in the world could be making her smile that much.
Day 2:
Day two was more excitement than anything else. Of course she had forgotten all about the note, only suddenly remembering it when a light pink teddy bear fell into her hands that afternoon. It was small, eyes wide, grinning up at her, while holding another small envelope it its hands. She smelt it and almost squealed at the familiar smell of strawberries.
“Aigoo~ What’s this?” Ji Hye walks into the locker room, after finishing her shift, to see Maxi holding the bear “It seems someone has a secret admirer!”
Maxi giggles “Oh shush” She whispers opening up the envelope, this time writing in pretty cursive writing.

Day 3:
Anxiety, really is, the proper word to describe her that day. She bounced into the café that morning, wondering what would be waiting for her. She rushed through the day, cleaning tables half-heartedly, constantly checking the clock, waiting for her shift to finish. She really could not wait for the end of the day. Once the clock hit 5 she rushed to the back, ripped her apron off and tore the door of her locker wide open.
At first she didn’t see anything, but she didn’t notice a bump underneath her bag. Lifting her bag she noticed a dark navy blue box sitting there, with a light pink note sitting on top. She looked at the box as it sat on her left palm and the letter that was sitting on her right palm. She had no idea what to open first, but something was telling her the letter.

A bit confused at the letter she slowly opened up the box. Inside were a matching pair of Mickey Mouse ears. One was pink and the other was blue. One for her and the other for…who?
Day 4:
She couldn’t focus at all that day. Nothing was on her mind other that what she was going to find in her locker today. She started listing possibilities, randomly, during her day.
“Do you know where I can get some more sugar?”
“What if its something like a ring? Oh I would so love a ring!”
“Hi, um where are your toilets?”
“Maybe it.. might be the keys to a car!”
“Um excuse me but your uh stepping on my foot
“SHOES!”
She was a little angry when she was asked to stay a little bit for overtime, but the feeling was amazing when she finally got off at 6 o’clock. She almost ran into Amy (another co-worker) in her rush to get to the locker room. Throwing the door open, her grin faded a little bit, when all that lay there was a single rose.
Pouting a little bit she picked up the envelope that went with it

If you held this rose in front of a mirror
I would tell you never to worry
Because even though this rose made fade away
My love will always remain.
Tomorrow is only 24 hours away~

Day 5:
Maxi was extremely, extremely excited to say the very least. She didn’t focus at all. She was told to pay attention at least three times during the day and fell over her own feet, and others, at least ten times that day. But she didn’t care, today was the day. Today was Friday, finally her admirer would appear.
When the clock hit five and her manager told her she was allowed to go home it seemed like everything just stopped. Her heart stopped, everyone around her stopped, and everything just seemed to freeze for one second.
In her excitement she ran straight into a closed door. “What the-?” She asked, rubbing her head and looking at the locker room door.
Locker Room closed for today
Due to maintenance and electricity problems

Your bags are located underneath the counter.
Her mind flooded with a billion thoughts, the main one being her admirer. How is he going to get to her now? She was really excited for today. She walked back to the front of the store, a pout resting heavily on her face.
The first thing she was met with was complete darkness, the normally well lit front area was dark, all the lights turned off completely. She stumbled for a little bit, stepping over her own feet, arms reached out in front of her trying to find their way around the darkness. Suddenly she felt a hand take hers and felt a lot safer.
“This took me a while to plan, so please, I hope you like it” A voice told her, leading her forward. “Close your eyes” Following suit the hand led her forward, slowly, taking steps a little at a time, until finally showing her into a seat.
She grinned to herself, shutting her eyes tighter, mentally pinching herself to see if this was real. Sitting in the silence she wondered to herself, what could possibly be waiting for her once she opened her eyes. Quietly, getting louder with each note, the sound of light piano playing filling the air.
“Neorago~” The voice began to sing, lightly at first but progress louder with the piano “Neo~ ragooo~” And suddenly one, two, three, voices joined in the piano rendition of the hit song. She could recognise the voices of Kyuhyun, Ryeowook and Yesung, and she could even sorta sense Sungmin’s voice in the mix. But still, she couldn’t tell you the person playing piano was.
She was swaying to the song when suddenly it stopped and she heard footsteps come towards her. “Five years ago you took my breath away, simply by serving me a cup of coffee, and ever since than I’ve come back, trying to catch a glimpse of you”
“I never-” She tried to interrupt
“No let me finish” He giggled “But every time I came in you were out or you weren’t working. For five whole years you have been able to miss all of my visits. But, somehow, five weeks ago, I managed to catch you. But you were in a rush to get home that I didn’t think there was a possibility that I could talk to you”
She nodded, her eyes still shut tight
“So, with the help of your manager, and your workmates, I planned all of this for you. Because even though I barely know you, I want to see you again, and again, and again until you are sick of me”
She couldn’t help it anymore and she opened her eyes. Kneeling before her, with the same childish grin on her face, was Lee Donghae. She couldn’t help but giggle “I really doubt that will happen”
“That what will happen?” He asked.
She pulled the Mickey Mouse necklaces from her pocket and placed them in his hand. He nodded, standing up and putting the pink ones around her neck, and kneeling back before her he put the blue ones around his own. Smiling, she cupped his face in her hands “I really doubt that I will ever get sick of you”

“Yah! Maxi! Wake up~” Amy’s voice was a loud boom in her ear.
Sitting up from the floor Maxi rubbed her head “Ugh, where am I?”
Amy laughed kneeling beside her “You were in such a rush to get to your locker that you ran straight into the door” Taking her hand Amy helped her up “No hurry up little miss, Donghae is waiting for you outside”
Maxi grinned, her smile reaching from ear to ear as she ran inside to grab her bag and she almost ran into the door (again) on her way out. “BYE AMY~ AND JI HYE!” She calls running out of the café and straight into Donghae’s arms.
“Hey, what took you so long?” Donghae smiled, hugging her tighter. “I missed you”
She giggled “I was just remembering those five days last year” She smiled at him, pulling at the pink Mickey Mouse necklace that lay on her collarbone.
