Hello there! I'm Laura, a 21-year-old from Texas currently studying art and literature. I got inspired to finally put up all of the frames/posters/art I had just sitting around in storage since forever after seeing all of the lovely rooms on this community. ♥ A lot of the stuff in my room I've been collecting for ages now (about ten years, maybe longer, maybe shorter depending on whatever it is) and most of it is found items or thirfted stuff or gifts from people.

Be warned though: since I'm a snoop dog and like to see EVERYTHING EVER in room posts, there's going to be tons of pictures.

Here's just a slightly bigger picture of the ol' hay.

Some scarves, my Dali doll, and the glove chair that I got from my parents for my 12th birthday that my friends have dubbed the "Michael Jackson Chair." All of the clothes (not the bag) hanging on the door are stuff I'm currently trying to sell (let me know if you're interested in buying anything! I haven't put them on ebay or etsy yet. :) )

My two dads Simon and Garfunkel. ♥ Their judgmental stares keep me in line.

My closet door/the wall next to the chair, featuring the ceramic ear I commandeered from my high school art room (I swear it was only an aid we used for drawing anatomy! No one in the class made it, otherwise I wouldn't have swiped it.)

A book of Henry Rollins's poems, made, edited (in pencil!), signed, and bitten by the man himself--there's teeth imprints on all of the pages! Quite possibly the coolest thing I will ever come to possess. (ETA: See the comments if you're curious as to where/how I got it. :) )

My gold painted scarf and bag cubby, dia de los muertos sugar skulls, and "Haunted Manson" style Victorian skeleton girl picture.

The main entrance to my room.

Janis Joplin, Ween, The Allman Brothers.

The stuff sitting under the records/poster. (The cat bottle is a wine called Black Cat. I hate drinking, but oh my god do I love pretty wine/liquor bottles.)

A close up of the Bosch "Garden of Earthly Delights" poster above my door.

The wall opposite my bed.

The dresser used to belong to my parents before they moved into a house with a walk-in closet. All of the delightful hardware I got from years of stalking Anthropologie sales. :)

The top of the dresser. The mirror frame is made out of tons of tiny rolled up magazine pages.

Le Salt. (I got the brown and gold salt and pepper shaker owls from a garage sale. They were originally a really weird color of burnt orange and were SUPER CREEPY looking, seriously, their smiles haunted my nightmares. But I painted them, so they're cute now!)

Le Pepper.

Some of my DVDs, pictures of my late bby Newman (RIP :( ), the television my family gave me for x-mas 5 years ago, and my very dapper air filter.

Here's the close-up for all of you Nosey Nancys/Nates.

(ETA: Ack, I forgot to add the stuff I have above the television! In case you're curious, here's a close-up!:)

Muddy Waters poster, Jefferson Airplane's Surrealist Pillow album, a picture of The Two Fridas sandwiched between two flower knobs, Cat Sevens's The Buddah and the Chocolate Box album, and a pretty flower plate I bought recently.

My desk (which I bought on sale at Ikea and just stained and added cute knobs to it) and some organized clutter.

Below the desk (left to right): The Beatle's Abbey Road album, hookah, Jimi Hendrix lunch box, a Kachina doll my dad bought from a Dine (Navajo) reservation, health/spirituality books, a picture of me as Dali, and a mushroom sculpture. (The things hanging into the photo on the right are headbands.)

Top of the desk.

Left side. Things of interest: the bottle hiding behind my necklace tree is a parfait of sand from different holy sites that my mom brought back from Egypt and the Mary statue I got from Notre Dame.

Right side. The wood tray holds all the earrings/plugs/rings I wear too often to put away. Most of the earrings on the wire skirt I bought/were bought for me from local artists, and Pierre--my sunglass holder--is working that leopard bow tie.

The wall above the desk. (The tattooed lady paper art doll is from crankbunny.)

Beethoven bust! My friend has hinted that I'm getting a Deadpool bust for x-mas to join him. :D!

The bookcase I got from a yard sale for $15. Ily, yard sales. ♥ In the "reading nook" (which is super tiny, but I'm apparently part brown recluse because it is cozy) is my pretty winter flower patch quilt.

I framed a magazine print of Tom Waits, so that's why there's that annoying glare over his face. In front of him is a vintage The Little Prince (one of my all time favorites), a magazine vase, button vase, and an old sake decanter that used to be my great-grandma's.

Here's the shelves, if you're interested:

The Monster Book of Monsters bites when you turn it on and stroke it's spine. :)

An Italian feminist poster and some fine art prints on the side of the bookcase as well as my side table.

The octopus mug, crystals, and essential oils on my side table.

Annnnnnd I end with the massive line-up of shoes surrounding my bed:

I hope my room inspires someone as much as all of your rooms have inspired me! ♥
