Last summer I moved into my sister's old bedroom because it's bigger and has a larger closet. Finally gave me a reason to pack up the large majority of my teenaged decor (I'm 25 now, so it's been a long time coming!) and finally give myself a "grown-up" room. Which was difficult to do before before because I'm a bit of a hoarder and had been in the same room all my life - and I didn't have the money to buy the number of tubs necessary to pack up everything. (It took watching several episodes of Hoarders to make me realize where I was headed, so trust me when I say this is a massive step-up from how truly cluttered my former room was!)

Anyway, I've finally packed up most of it, aside from a few things (which will likely go in the coming weeks). I'd appreciate some suggestions on organization if anyone has any - I'd prefer to not pack up all my books and dvds. Found a neat solution for my games though (on the wall above the chair). Also, suggestions for my overhead lamp? I saw another post where someone hung beads, which sounds nice, or should I just get a whole new fixture (since the glass broke anyway and I removed it).

I resized them, but clicking them leads to the larger image. For more close-ups/detail, I made the entire album public: full album.

One thing I want to bring back from my old room is the color (excuse the random furniture, it's now a storage room lol):

It's called "center stage" but it's a lovely yellow-green which I adored (center stage - 2nd shade over). My current wall color is more like a pale dusty olive (frolic - 3rd shade over). Which is nice, because it's still green, but too subdued for me. Would the center stage be too much though? Because my room is quite crowded with the large furniture :/ Or I was considering maybe even yellow walls! What do you guys think? Just keep in mind I don't have the funds for new furniture, but maybe I could scrounge together enough for a new bed-spread. I like the simplicity of my current one, but it's not very comfortable.

(I'm in the US midwest btw if anyone has specific suggestions for shops and such.)

ETA: I've been looking at some yellow paints, and I'm liking them. Thoughts? Or perhaps a light orange? Or any combination thereof.

PS: Forgive for the photo quality. The only camera I have at the moment is my phone camera. I tried to clean them up in photoshop the best I could.
