I recently moved home and decided to redo my childhood room. More than anything else, I needed a work space that made it easy to keep and find tools/supplies/equipment and had ample table space for laying large pieces out to work on (illustrations/sewing/whatnot) and tons of wall space to tape up references and progress notes. So I made some organized chaos and I thought I'd share the results.

Full view of the room. The stripes were handpainted and the textured wall by the bed is Debbie Travis peel off wallpaper.

A closer look at the corner. The papasan cushion was dirty and needed a new cover, so two yards of neon pink fish fabric does the job.

Lots of handmade cushions (except for the little green ikea one peeking out) to match the overall scheme of the walls

A pan over to the other side of the room. Two full units of shelves to keep books, board games, fabrics, electronics, dvds!

I found an old unfinished wood table and decided to cover it in grey blackboard paint. Great for forgetful people like me. Three drawers full of arts & craft supplies are a finger's reach away.

And an Urban outfitters rug converts well into a unique corkboard for safety pinned memorabilia.
