I've recently put a deposit down on a very good studio. The walls need repainting and my landlord basically said that as long as I paint it back to beige when I leave,I can paint it any colour I want.
Use bright and airy colors because if you go to dark, the small will be smaller, and the next thing you know, your cute little studio turns into a tuna can. I suggest a brilliant blue like sea foam or sky. Also try a bright sage or a more laurel green. Yellow is good, but the room is already beige, so yellow won't change anything. Also, leave the little alcove with the window white. It'll amplify the natural light and you don't want to muddy up or distort that from coming in.
What are your favorite colors? Make a list of them and pick the color that is the lightest for your walls. Then you can pick two more options as a second color and an accent... going with what you love the most is important because you don't want to live with something you don't like for the next several years.

It turned out they wanted me to move in asap, so I've moved and for now I want to stay for a few months and if I still like the place I'll paint.
