(no subject)
My name is Rachel. I'm 23 and still live at home with my parents in upstate NY while going to grad school. I've posted here before, but I just finished spring cleaning and redecorating and wanted to post.
Computer desk shelves. The top shelf holds my button collection and, behind them, a vase of rocks taken from beaches in Maine, little knick-knacks, and a Statue of Liberty bear. The bottom shelf holds my miniature box collection, shell and rock from Maine, and my bottle collection, among other things.
Close up of the magnetic 'boards' on the sides of my computer desk, and the signed Civil Twilight poster I got when I saw them last summer.
On top of my bookcase. Nightmare Before Christmas Monopoly and my sports stuff. The Red Sox stuff is from my family (they're trying to convert me...), the Mets baseball hats are giveaways from games I've gone to.
First shelf on my bookcase. Sookie Stackhouse, Narnia, Twilight, and Percy Jackson books. Random knick-knacks and a signed A Silent Film CD that I got when I saw them open for Civil Twilight on Thursday. Totally Awesome Band!!
The Harry Potter shelf. All the HP books (and other random books), plus a ton of stuff that my dad got me when her went to HP World, since I couldn't go. Hogwarts notebook, Starkid sunglasses (not really HP, but oh well), HP wand, Acid Pop, Bertie Botts Beans, Eyeball Bonanza, and Chocolate Cauldren container that I filled with random jewelry.
Perfume/Lotion on the left, jewelry boxes and glasses case on the right. The Nightmare Before Christmas tin lunchbox holds all my pocketbacs from Bath and Body Works (which is way more than in necessary). Shotglasses hold costume rings, and a mini 1967 Impala :)
Bottom two shelves are for DVDs, cross stitches that I'm working on, concert programs, and more knick-knacks. I've had the deformed beanbag bear since I was a baby, and the orange furball is a Tribble that I got from Vegas.
Sewing desk, purse, and thread rack. That owl is a stuffed Hedwig from my dad. The plate on the desk is from senior skip day back in high school, and holds sentimental things (1/2 dinar note, peace sign earring, gold cross necklace).
Bedside table (that desperately needs to be stained). Current reading, dream notebook, and way old pictures.
The most comfortable bed ever... And my laptop, because a girl can never have too many computers.

The pics are of my friend and I in Maine (hidden), my cats, and one I took of Steve from Civil Twilight during their show last summer (.......and I just realized that the photo slipped. Must fix that..). The friends box holds the fabric in my stash that doesn't fit in the giant tub under my bed.
Giant closet!!
Approx 3/4 of my CD collection, the rest is in a stand out in the living room. Jewelry that I wear most often is either hung off the stand, or in the boxes on top. And, because I know I like to snoop, some closeups:
