(no subject)
Hey, hey. I'm Becky, an 18 year old Chemistry student and I moved into my halls of residence about 3 weeks ago. I've posted my room at home before but I haven't a clue how to find it again so...
The room's bigger than I thought it would be (I'm still trying to decide if it's bigger than my room at home) so I was pretty pleased when I first got here :P
From the door. The photos on the notice board are one of my favourite things about my room. Not going to lie, I miss home a lot.
My desk has been a mess since the moment I got here. And I didn't bring many books or anything so my shelves are mainly full of rubbish.
If you saw my room when I last posted you may remember it as the one full of Doctor Who stuff, that poster is the only obvious display of it here. Also the bits of card on the wardrobe are just quotes from things, an alarming number of Harry Potter ones. And of course a nice big pile of clothes.
And back to the door, my only other poster and my dressing gown covering up all the nice fire alarm information.
And here's a picture from like just after I moved in of my shelves, before I got my textbooks and stuff. Look there's Harry my African Wild Dog =] (And yes it's sideways but I can't deal with turning it around.
That's pretty much all there is to it, any advice on making it feel a bit more homely, it still feels a it bare and generic to me.
