I recently moved, and while I love my new room for a lot of reasons, I'm running into issues of aesthetics and practicality. I have a bunch of stuff which previously was stored a closet, and now is out in the open due to my lack of any storage space. I also need to repaint and decorate the walls, but I'm not sure what would look good.

First of all, I actually love that wall of randomly sized green rectangles. I'd totally leave it, and maybe paint the other walls white, or some very pale, very muted green. Then maybe put your bed against that wall, to kind of anchor the the piece.

As far as storage goes, I think you really need a few dressers and an armoire, if possible. Even a cheap one from IKEA or a used one from craigslist would be a huge help to you. That, or maybe rent a storage space. But I think that more dresses (you could get a long, low one and put it beneath the windows, would really help your organizational situation.

I LOVE your wall of randomly sized green rectangles! I've been having a hard time deciding on a shade for the accent wall in my room and my mom had suggested doing something like this and I just couldn't picture how to make it work. But yours looks SO good and I might actually go for it now! If I were you I would just change the colour of the other walls to a white, gray, or a very light shade of green (although green might be a green overload). Just something lighter to brighten up the space!
