This morning I read an obituary of a young man whose life was cut short. His father said something to the effect of "was a good kid, never made anyone angry or upset..." Which got me thinking I hope that no one is able to say that about me when I'm gone. If we never made anyone angry then we haven't ever taken a stand. We're just like everyone else drifting through life with our high-tech distractions, getting our business degree, working 40+ hours repeating corporate slogans as fact, bringing more children into our over-populated world, endless consumption without any critical thinking. I think it was Marx who said that ignorance isn't bliss, it's oblivion.
