Ohno 「Even from now on, please don’t abandon Arashi…」
Popular group Arashi’s two-disc-complied original album “Boku no Miteiru Fuukei” (released on August, 4th) has sold 8561 copies on October, 18th weekly ranking and achieved a total sale of 1,007,896. This has been so far the first and only million-seller CD in this year. Today, 5 people of Arashi has participated in the 「JAL嵐JET」event hold at Tokyo・Haneda’s new international terminal which will be opened on October, 21st. They were reported about their original production’s breakthrough as the first million-seller. Leader Ohno Satoshi has showed his thankfulness towards the fans “Everyone, even from now on, please don’t abandon Arashi… Let’s all of us ride the plane! We will ride this, too! 」
Last year Arashi’s best album 『All the BEST! 1999-2009』having reached million on September, 14th weekly ranking after 8 months on sale makes this become 2 consecutive years of million ranking for them. Last million-seller is EXILE’s 『Ai Subeki Mirai he』(released on September, 2009). The record has last for 9 months since then. This is the first million-seller of CD released in this year. Also Ninomiya Kazunari’s leading-role movie 『Ohoku』’s theme song, 「Dear Snow」, which is their lastest single, also toped the chart on October, 18th weekly ranking, makes this their 22th piece in a row among 29 pieces toped the chart.
Aiba Masaki marked 「When I listened the album being played at convenience store, I realised many people also listened to this」. Matsumoto Jun also said 「I’m really happy」 with smile. Sakurai Sho spoke with deep feeling as the happiness kept welling him up bit by bit 「(Album) was released in summer so everything has been sinking in me slowly over time. 」 When they were told that their single also reached the top, they said in commotion 「Amazing…」 Ninomiya said 「This song was made for the sake of the movie so I want those

Arashi’s 9th original album “Boku no Miteiru Fuukei” includes singles whichi monopolised the first and second place in the chart of the first half of the year, such as 「Troublemaker」 and 「Monster」. There are also 5 people’s solos which completed 20 songs in the album. The album also toped in the first week for a sale of 731,000 copies. CD top-seller Arashi also participated in last year NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen* for the first time. When being asked for the plan for the rest of the year, Matsumoto said willingly 「This is not our place to decide but if we are invited, we will be very happy」.
