I want to jump in a pile of leaves.
Today's my grandmother's birthday. When I talked to her on the phone today she mentioned my family, as usual, are cooking outside. I said I'd really like to make a road trip up one weekend with some friends from school, to visit one weekend and she mentioned my gramps could have an oyster roast, among other food, if I did.
Now I'm hit over the head with the idea of eating oysters outside in the crisp air of autumn. mmm...
Secondly, I light a vanilla/delicious candle Logan gave me as a graduation gift. It makes my room smell like baking and it reminds me of Halloween and Thanksgiving. Now I want to bake all day in the kitchen.
But I know if I step foot outside, it's going to ruin the idea of scarves, Halloween decorations, drinking hot coffee, running outside barefoot on cold, wet grass to grab the morning paper, sweet potato stew, oyster roasts, fireplaces, and breezes that make you bury yourself deeper in your jacket when you're walking.
This fall is going to be amazing, I can feel it already. First off, I always am given a new love interest to smile about. Second off, there are more than four shows that I am getting tickets for. Third, I have so much tea and coffee at my place that I can only hope the autumn is as cold as the summer was hot... even in Florida. And finally, I know I'm going to be Betty Boop for Halloween with the new hair. Yes!
Anyone want to make a road trip with me? My family is amazingly hospitable and hilarious. Oh man, the anticipation makes me giddy! Mmm... either way, I'm soooo excited!!
