You all are being quite thoughtful lately.  I have a question for you all, as well.

If you knew when you were going to die, and you knew there was no escape, how would you react?

Personally I would not be too stressed with it... discontent, but showing signs of stress or anger would upset those close to me.

I think I would be okay with it too... I'd just make sure I was at peace with God, and live life one day at a time until there was no more. ... I suppose it wouldn't be too different from what I do now, honestly.

I hope you're doing well, Seimei.

I'm doing quite well. Just wanted to throw out a question for thought since it seems to be the latest trend.

I'm glad to hear that, heh. It was definitely a good question; I've actually thought about it before, but I've never shared, so it was good to write it down.

Words are powerful. And though spoken is moreso than written, it's still incredibly empowering to a sentiment to place it on paper.

Oh yes, definitely. And there is one thing about writing that spoken word doesn't have- permanence. I think a lot of students writing in their journal forget that, really... What's there is there forever, once you write it.

Mm, but that's extremely vulnerable, as well. Secrets are so difficult to keep in a journal. My mother keeps one... she happened to leave it laying around, and I didn't realize it was a private affair until I read some of it. She was careless.

Spoken word affects not the masses, as written word does, but an individual. Spoken words are powerful. When used right, they cut straight into the heart... filling it with warmth or a deep chill.

Ah, yeah, and reading something someone else has written that they didn't intend for you to see can have lasting negative effects... People should learn to be more careful with belongings like that...

And that's true; its been such a long time since I've heard a good speech that touched me... Dumbledore always inspires me; he's an excellent speaker. There are precious few that can articulate themselves quite as well as he can...

My former school, Septimal Moons in Japan, was a wizarding school that focused heavily on the power that comes from vocal commands. Why, they were so torn when I left, even now they're insisting that I return.

My friend and former classmate Soubi is a perfect example of how the voice can be perhaps even more terrifying than the spell itself.
