He never asked to be the Boy Who Lived, but no one ever gave him a choice. He earned the name when he was only a year old, and while everyone else said his name reverently, he didn't even know his own title until ten years later. Because Voldemort chose him, Harry Potter, as his equal, he couldn't even have a choice in his own life. He had to do what everyone wanted him to do, what his name said he would do, and Harry thought that it might have been better if he didn't have greatness thrust upon him.
