Sometimes, Blaise wonders herself. If Draco were anyone else, she's sure she would have left long ago, would have scorned him and made him pay. But it's Draco, and anything concerning Draco is always different.
They've known each other since they were children. They've been engaged since birth, and their parents had thought it best for them to be acquainted with each other before attending Hogwarts. And because of that, she knows Draco better than almost anyone, knows Draco better than she probably should.
She knows he cheats on her. She knows who he sleeps with, and she thinks she should care since he's her fiancé, except she doesn't. Blaise knows that it's just for fun, and besides, Draco always comes back to her. It's not just because she's his fiancée, either.
Draco's arrogant and rude and cold, but he listens to her and buys her useful gifts. He fucks her roughly, and though his touch isn't harsh, it's not soft, either, but smooth and lingering. What they have isn't love because neither of them are the type to love nor even know how to love, but what they do have is the closest thing to it.
