Been a while, hasn't it? I think enough time has gone by that I can quietly resume these. As always, caveate lector.

This will sit well with those friends of a kinder, softer Snape, and I’m guessing fans of the early parts will enjoy this.
For me, well, the author’s notes did explain that this is an epilogue to another story, but also said that the reader need not read that one to muddle through this. Either I have not read the previous parts, have forgotten them, or am just a piss poor muddler, because my initial reaction was: who are these characters and why are they called ‘Harry’ and ‘Severus’?! I couldn’t find the thread here to enjoy the characterization, and it didn’t read as a story at all. So, AN aside, I suspect that reading the earlier bits might be useful. If only to explain how Snape and Harry ended up living in something called ‘serenity’ and how it had nothing to do with browncoats.
Then there was the painful repetition of “Potions Master.” I doubt there is a Harry Potter fan on the planet who is unaware of Snape’s mastery, but if there is, and should they stumble upon this fic, that lapse will be thoroughly fixed, as the author sees fit to mention that Snape is a potions master no less than 13 times in seven consecutive paragraphs. In fact The Potions Master really should be the name of this.

I enjoy Meri’s style, and I liked the older Harry backstory. There was a lot going on there: Harry divorced Ginny, is teaching at Hogwarts and has three children in different houses! Each of these ideas could be a story on it’s own, but instead it was mushed into the front of this billed-as-a-PWP fic. Personally that made the first half of this unwieldy. But the back end was worth the wading and I’d love to see her make good on turning this into a series. There’s far too much here for the PWP.
...and as
swtalmnd pointed out, it's been a while so here's
a link to my codes for those (of us) have forgotten what OSS and DTT mean.
