OK yes, I skipped a few. I figured I'd try and do one current and one oldie until I was caught up. This is also slightly rougher than I'd like - somewhere between LJ and semagic my C&P function is getting lost.

Harry loves Severus and Severus loves Harry, but oh noes! They cannot be together or else the artificial tension between them would cease and the author would have no plot to propel her story! Step back and start over. Characters need to develop as much as the plot does. If they are already in love with each other, what's their arc? What have they learned? If nothing, why should I waste my time reading about them? Also? Find a better obstacle than half-heard eavesdropping to throw in our favorite porcupines path, because as you rightly wrote out it's barely enough filler for a single act in a universe with Legilimency.

BTW, I think the point of the Patronus is that it was well above an Ordinary Wizard Level, and therefore Harry mastering it at what? 13? was extraordinary. An entire third year Hufflepuff class mastering it as part of their curriculum? Out there.

This is a Star Wars Xover that works, as weird as that sounds. It's almost pre-slash, and it left me with a bad case of what-happens-nextitus, but it worked. Harry was so faintly drawn that he wasn't Harry, but if she continues this I think she'll find his voice.

I admit I like the idea of magical objects that bend wizards to their will. I don't much like author's handling Harry's female canonical entanglements by turning them into vapid shrews. Seriously, we all love the hawt boy sex. This does not mean we must hate women.

Is it mean to bitch about the formatting? To wonder why it's in bold with double spaces? Gah, this might be a decent fic, but I find myself way too distracted by the way it looks to concentrate properly. I went back for another go after reading "Black Story" omgomgomg(I find I'm far more tolerant after a really good Snarry) but nope. It was still too painful to wade through and I'm giving it a rec -. I'll give it another go if she fixes it though.

The author still fails to understand that Snape and Harry both being secretly! in! twu! wuv! in full view of the reader does not dramatic tension make. There's a tone of inexperience coming through these fics that would probably be best realized if the author tried limiting herself to Harry's POV. There is truth in the dictum: "write what you know".

Also: The sound of his hand on his flesh made a wonderful squelching noise that Severus thought he would never forget for all his days. *snicker*

AU set with Harry at Uni
Oh pictures! Oh, wonderful non-magical AU thingy! I love stories that really use their surroundings, and this London is lush enough to touch. It's perfect, I feel like I'm sitting in the cafe with them and were my imagination falter, there's more pics!
This really is a beautiful love story - there's no other way to describe it - between two flawed lonely men. The author's managed to find a way that all of Severus' and Harry's broken pieces fit together without losing the characterization.

And then if I was not already in love there's a link to Alan Rickman Snape reading *that* Sonnet
