Snuggling against the comfortable cushion with layers of sheets covering his form, Yunho sighed in content and rubbed his face against his pillow. It was very pleasant and warm that it made him wonder how humans were able to obtain such comfort in such outdoor places.

He rolled over, his arms unfolding onto the comfortable cushions, which he found had a backrest. Blinking, he opened his eyes slowly, soon recognizing it was a couch. A couch he saw when he first arrived into his apartment until he left to school and returned to find himself locked outside without the key.

After processing the information, Yunho awoke easily as the memories from last night clicked in his mind as he remembered the chilling cold winds of regret. The regrets of forgetting his keys and claiming it was the worst human experience ever.

Once the thoughts sank in, he checked his surrounding and notice he was in the living room, which not only did he forgot his keys last night, but he did not remember getting into his apartment at all. It was really awkward how he suddenly managed to get inside with no apparent device to help him trans-

His eyes widened in shock and realization as he reached into his pocket, taking out a small byte size chip. It had miniature blue electric shocks sprinkling over his fingers until he laid it down on the palm of his hand, examining it from one end to the other and then sighed. It was crushed.

The mini- chipper. A highly concentrated electric transporting mechanism that is stored into a small dark plaited chip for conveniences. It’s usually used in emergency cases, like running away from hounding attackers, saving a few things and escaping from humans. Relatively, the people back in his homeland were creative enough to save themselves from trouble with just a quick squeeze of this chip and he just happened to use one. But how did he squeeze it in the midst of a chilly night?

Scratching his head, he pondered on the thought for awhile and managed to turn his head slightly towards the clock hanging on the wall, bestows to realize he was going to be late again.

:

“Look hyung, I’m not lying. We both saw something move, right?” Changmin exclaimed arguably.

“And I’m just saying, maybe you thought there was someone there when there isn’t.” Jaejoong countered irritably.

“What do you mean by ‘me?’ You were there too. If you’re going to argue with me on who are the witnesses, then I’d say, ’we are.’” He pointed bitterly to both himself and his hyung, flipping his finger in one direction and then back to the other.

Jaejoong bit his lips in agitation and licked them before answer. “What if, no one was there to begin with?”

Changmin rolled his eyes in disbelief.

“Hyung.”

The other continued, slipping his backpack on and walking towards the door. “Well, you’re the only one who saw him.” He paused to put his shoes on after Changmin turned to give him a glare from behind.

“Hyung.” He heard Changmin sighed in annoyance.

“I mean- c’mon, it’s ju-“

“HYUNG!”

Getting the hint, Jaejoong sighed heavily. “Aish. Dammit Changmin. What if we’re both crazy?” He ruffled his hair in irritation and scrunched his eyebrows together. “I mean-how the hell do you explain a person underneath a purple blanket suddenly disappearing? Did he just magically transport to another universe or something? Grow some balls and ran away?”

Idly, Changmin just stared at Jaejoong’s theories before putting his shoes on and walking out the door. “I think you’re the one who’s crazy, hyung.”

Standing there hopelessly in a futile argument, Jaejoong paused before questioning, “Why am I the only one crazy? How come you’re not crazy like me?”

“Was that the only comeback that bothered you the most?” The younger spoke in fake shock, his lips creeping to the edge of his face with his eyes evidently becoming mismatched in mere seconds.

“For the sake of my sanity- yes, it is.” Jaejoong replied with the last of his dignity still left in him.

Changmin snorted before answering, “Because I’m not the one denying facts about the past and making up stupid theories for them like you. There. Happy?” He calmly stated without turning around and waited for the other to step out of the door, hoping that was the last of their argument.

Dumbfounded, Jaejoong decisively closed his half open mouth before he could say anything stupid again or he’ll never hear the end of his dongsaeng’s remarks.

After a few more seconds, Jaejoong locked the door with a click, finally coming back to reality and realizing that he might be late for school and followed after Changmin.

Silence filled the air between them immediately and they just walked passably in silent.

It was like playing the silent treatment game, except there really wasn’t anything to say when something as phenomenal such as, a stranger they only met for five minutes suddenly blows up into thin air at their apartment. A strange, most definite twist of events but better off forgotten since the said person is gone from their lives and possibly they will never meet again.

Possible. Jaejoong thought.

Just as he turned to face Changmin again, he didn’t realize the other had stopped and ungraciously bumped against the other’s back.

“What the fuck Chang- “

“It’s him.”

“What?” Jaejoong said in confusion. “Who’s ‘him’?”

“It’s him. “ He pointed straight ahead of him. “The guy I saw yesterday at our front door, our purple blanket stranger.” He continued to point in an obvious manner so his hyung could understand the point already.

Instantly, Jaejoong followed Changmin’s direction hesitantly, considering he is just about to find out who exactly was this person sleeping on their couch last night and had somehow disappeared magically in thin air. Not to mention, leaving him in his dilemma to ponder on whether he was real or not. Well, he has to be real now, consider his roommate is pointing right at the suspect and he might as well just kill whoever had pulled him into a stupid argument with his roommate.

Once Jaejoong’s eyes landed onto person, his eyes widen even further in recognition on who their stranger was.

Jung Yunho.

The new transfer student.

Fuck! I knew there was something strange about him! Jaejoong thought inwardly and glared at the unsuspecting stranger-with-a-name-now-which-is-the-transfer-kid-Jung-Yunho.

“Do you know him, hyu-?” Changmin asked curiously out loud, however, Jaejoong cut him off and covered the younger’s mouth before the transfer kid could hear them from a few feet way. He quickly pulled Changmin and hid behind the corner, impatiently checking to see what exactly the transfer was doing here.

“Hyung, what are you do-? “

“Shhhhhhhh!!” Jaejoong shushed him hurriedly and turned back to see if the transfer student had spotted them from their corner. He had to find out why the hell this new guy keeps appearing in the strangest places-yet now confirmed- he can disappear too.

Changmin sighed and whispered this time. “What are you doing hyung? Why are we hiding?”

Jaejoong turned and whispered back.”He’s strange.

The younger let out a sigh in disbelief. “We can’t technically prove that yet hyung. Now let’s go before we’re late for scho-“

“Be quiet!” Jaejoong placed his hand on the other’s mouth again but this time, Changmin had pulled his hand away quickly before he clasped his grip on him.

“I won’t unless you tell me why we’re hiding.” He twisted his hyung’s wrist harshly.

“Owowowow. Ok. Mercy! Mercy!” Jaejoong panicked and waited for Changmin to let go, which the other eventually did.

“Fuck, that hurts.” Jaejoong blew onto his stinging red wrist. That would leave a mark.

“Tell.”

“I saw him light up in the hallway.”

Changmin’s eyes widen for a split second but it was covered immediately when he replied, “Ok, you’re insane, hyung” and grabbed Jaejoong’s arm before he heard anymore nonsense.

“But it’s true, Min!” His feet stumbled against the ground and he held onto the rail for support from being dragged away by his roommate no less. “I saw him come out of the light from nowhere. Nowhere!”

“Yeah, right and I’m god.” Changmin stated sarcastically, heading towards the elevator, which were closing by the last second.

Jaejoong watch his roommate extend his hand before the elevator doors closed and roughly pushed him inside with the other following behind.

What Jaejoong didn’t expect though, was that the transfer student still inside the elevator.
