bunny-hopping into action
It seems that there's a chance I could get a job in Montreal after all, which would be great, since all my friends and relations appear to be moving there. There's one company that will hire "promising candidates" who are not (yet) fluent in French. I have a contact and I'll be calling her soon (once I work myself up to it - I hate telephones).
So tomorrow morning I'm headed to Alliance Francaise to get assessed, so I can include my "rating" in my cover letter. My French used to be good, but I've neglected it almost totally for more than a decade. I suspect tomorrow will include lots of frustrated searching for words.
I have been listening to Radio Canada (aka French CBC) for the past several months (mainly because they seem to favour early music more than the English version does), so that may help somewhat.
