Late thanksgiving post
So the holidays are upon us… well kinda.
I find myself feeling weird about listening to Christmas music already… I mean, it isn’t even December yet. I worry if I start listening now, I will be tired of it by the time Christmas actually gets here. They showed A Charlie Brown Christmas on TV last night…. Impatient much!
Thanksgiving was no hassle-no frills this year. We didn’t feel like driving to either of our relatives places… so we stayed in…. It was my love, me and a friend. I woke up early that morning, did a lil shopping at Meijer and picked up dinner. Pre made! Heat and serve turkey, which was yummy, mashed taters, cranberry stuff, rolls, pie, and stuffing. It wasn’t a bad set up for 35 bucks. Though the pie coulda been better. Only thing that needed to be put in the oven was the turkey, and that was an adventure in its own right.
Definitely something I would do again in the future… though I really did miss some of the homemade extras that always make it nice and seeing family.
Not much else happening here. I have some vacation time coming up at work, not much, but more than I’m used to… it was sort of a use it or loose it arrangement. I hope to find a better job soon though.
