Ghost hunters came over today- Paul- my sister Halli's baby-daddy, and his friend from work. could not stop laughing hysterically when Paul said that he'd gotten another job "looking for boxes", he has to find out through some kind of binary system where boxes from General Motors have gone, because 12 million dollars worth of them have disappeared recently. After lots of complicated tracking, some of them have turned out to have been found in remote parts of the desert, where people have been using them as houses. It's not the idea of someone living in a box that's in any way funny. It's the irony of one person being able to make a decent living off of a job "looking for boxes"- tedious and ridiculous, yeah- but still an extremely...customized position- while other people are living out of those very boxes. But, the irony of a multi-million dollar corporation like G.M. being forced to hire someone to track down these boxes is also sweet, because someone cheating G.M. out of millions of dollars is probably living in a box in the desert.
