AP is carrying a story about university professors who are
incorporating podcasts into their teaching. While I generally applaud the use of technology in education, I was particularly disturbed by this comment:“Sometimes reading can be difficult, but if you actually hear it, you kind of retain it more,” said Tamara Burrowes, who will complete her bachelor’s degree at UDC in December. “You might listen to it over and over again as you’re riding on the subway.”
Now, call me old-fashioned, elitist, or insensitive, but if you are about to complete your bachelor's degree, merely reading should NOT be difficult.
