Today! (Drabble #9)

Oct 06, 2007 23:42

Happy birthday, mustntgetmy! I'm not sure what the time difference will do to my timing, but I can assure you it's the right day where I am now. xD

Here's the present I promised you. Sorry for the experiment, but it turns out I've written my first Albus/Gellert fic for this occasion. Hope it's at least decent.

Happy reading! ; )

Pairing: Dumbledore/ ( Read more... )

fic: hp, albus/gellert, drabbles, slash (problematic labelling aside), happy birthday, writing, actual stories

Wonderful. Utterly wonderful. The way you managed to potray Geller in such few sentences is amazing. The reader can truly feel him being that way, like Albus is feeling him. an dthe last sentence does close perfectly the drabble.
Amazing drabble, sweetie.

*blushes* I'm happy you liked it! This was totally my first time writing Gellert (since Albus at least has a minor appearance in one of my in-progress fics) and I wanted to do him justice somehow. And I'm really glad you liked the ending.

This is all the more impressive if it was the first time you wrote about Gellert. Congratulations. :))
Actually, I'm always waiting authors at the turning point that is the ending. ;)

Whee, thanks! He's turning out to be a lot of fun to write, the sexy thing. XD

Me too, in fact. The ending should somehow wrap it up. And if not, then it has to be on purpose. ; )

Yes, I do imagine him being sexy as hell. Not the beauty of Sirius who's handsome and may boast about it, but Gellert may be more... allusive about it. Hence his charismatic features. *g*

*nods* Ending a fic beautifully seems quite complicated to achieve, indeed.

Yes, Gellert must have had a lot of charisma. Not just because it would make him irresistible for Albus (mwahaha) but also because he was a leader at some point. I think he would never have gathered any following if he'd been just a boring evil guy. It's almost the same with Voldemort - the Death Eaters somehow came to him at first, even though any other person would think his ideas were insane. He could "sell" them, so to speak. /incoherent ramble

Oh, the eternal search for a perfect ending. xD

I do agree. He's got a presonal aura that suits him as a leader.

he would never have gathered any following if he'd been just a boring evil guy.
So to speak, you're totally right. That's why he could be interesting to develop some mroe this character to understand more precisely how his mind works and his relationship with Albus! :D

*winks* You know this better than I. :)

Interesting that he's one of the few characters who have that sort of charm...along with Albus, Harry and Voldemort. xD

Yeah, and the fandom is trying to do exactly that for him! We have to fill the blank spaces JKR gave us, after all... ; )

Awww. ^_^

Do you think that Harry has got some charm? I can't really think of him as a leader, less being charismatic - this is, of course, the way I feel about him when I read the novels... *ponders*

And the fandom will surely know what to do of the years left aside by JKR, that's for sure. XD
Still, I haven't read any good fics about taht very period. Have you? :))

Well, he doesn't have that much appeal to me...but he must have some charm if people still supported him during DH as a savior of some sort. Of course, I'd much sooner be charmed by Gellert or Albus! XD

Me neither. But I haven't looked much - I'd prefer to read some DH fics about Remus or about the greater good. ^_~

I may have not followed Harry at all in the last book for the last battle, to tell you the truth. I would have hidden somewhere and wait for the end of it all. XD *paranoid mood*

This is a good idea! Now I need to hunt for this kind of fics, too. :)

*laughs* That's like Aberforth! Sorry. XD

If I was in DH, I'd do something like Remus. (Except, you know, the marrying and having unwanted kids part. Eww.) I'd be working underground! Or trying to destroy the system from within...

grindeldore is full of the Greater Good, if you need a place to start. ^_~

Heee, don't apologize, I really would have reacted that way! I tend to avoid conflicts as often as I could. *gggg*

Mmm, nice idea. This would fit your skills a lot. XD

Oh dears. I haven't been following this community at all. I'm so much into two or three other communities right now!

Well, it's a very clever attitude to have!

I'm glad you think so. I'm quite proud of whatever skills I have in this department. ^_^

Oh, avoiding wars is always better than starting them! XD

^_^

Thanks for the tips for these comms, I'll check them out! And yeah, cats macros are hilarious. (Though I've already seen some similar macros with HP characters, too. xD)
