Friggin' DST

Mar 08, 2009 10:31

With my job, you'd think I know DST started today but I didn't realize it until I logged into a 'puter at work which told me it was 8 when I thought it was 7. On the off chance that box was on ET, checked my own machine. Normally this wouldn't be an issue but it is both laundry day and Anime Shin-Gen day so I'm time boxed ( Read more... )

So, what show did you pick then? Yesterday, I attended a benefit and heard Laurie from Trading Spaces speak, but I've never seen the actual show either. *double checks* I've seen Bringing Home Baby, I think.

I went with The Amazing Race for that one.

There was another question with options like Sex and the City and Desperate Housewives that I hadn't a clue.

Sorry to change the subject, but my neighbor, Wally, tells me the downtown Chicago parks are full of Coyotes.

I don't know about downtown Chicago but a few years ago we drove to visit the in-laws in Wilmette (posh north-shore 'burb) and saw what we were pretty sure was a coyote outside one the junior highs.

the funny thing about DST is i kiss the wife at 1:59:59 CST for two seconds. She will say the kiss is too short, but then i point out the clock and it says 3:00:01CDT
hey, the clock says i kissed you for 1 hour
i usually get punched after that.

For a minute there you had me thinking it was Monday.

I had the same problem with the TV show question although I have seen a couple of them. Trading Spaces is out because I can't pick out paint. I chose Real World, which I've never seen, because the others put you at the whim of some sort of cruel selection process. I think on Real World they're pretty much stuck with you.

Interesting observation by pilgham. I wouldn't have thought of it, but I agree whole-heartedly. Good luck with today's schedule. I'd go with Anime Shin-Gen myself.

Back from Anime Shin-Gen. We had kind of a duff line up today. I did enjoy Yakitake Japan.
