Pirates Vs Ninjas
This year, in my cube, I have up a Naruto Shippuuden, a Bleach and a One Piece calendar. Looking at them, I was struck by how much fun the pirates were having in comparison to the ninjas and the Shinigami. This makes sense. Being a pirate is a selfish profession while nin and shinigami supposedly serve the greater good.
Anyways, I think this is why I like OP so much. Sure, it's not all sake and skittles but mostly the Straw Hat Pirates are having fun. They went to Skypeia, for instance, not on some great quest but because Luffy thought an island in the sky would be nifty cool.
I'm not entirely sure that the leaf nin really enjoy their work; they're usually pretty serious. And that goes double for Ichigo.
