Louis's shock-and-awe face is amazing.

Mar 14, 2006 01:57

Since this post is all lyrics, the obligatory lyrical beginning is omitted. Shock and awe.
I'm sure I look silly, as I'm using headphones so that Louis and Mandy can play. Yet I'm still rockin' out as hard as possible without jumping up and headbanging.
Oh, yes. There are air instruments involved.

Step 1: Open up whatever MP3 program you use and add every song in your collection.
Step 2: Put it on random.
Step 3: Pick your favorite lines from the first 10 songs that play, no matter how embarassing the song.
Step 4: Post and let everyone you know guess what song and artist the lines come from without using Google.
Step 5: Cross out the songs when someone guesses correctly.

1. It comes down to reality,
And that's fine with me, 'cause I've let it slide.
Don't care if it's Chinatown or on Riverside.
I don't have any reasons; I left them all behind...

2. You got to whip it up and hit me like a ton of lead.
If I blow my top, will you let it go to your head?

3. They say that no one's gonna play this on the radio.
They said the melancholy blues were dead and gone...
But only songs like these,
Played in minor keys,
Keep those memories holding on.

4. When I pulled into town in a police car,
Your daddy said I took it just a little too far.
You're telling me things, but your girlfriend lied.
You can't catch me, 'cause the rabbit done died...
Yes, it did!

5. Our age is coming.
Gathering in gutters,
Gathering in gutters.
Untold our number...
Creeping over your land,
Stillborn in the gutter.

6. Relax.
I need some information...first.
Just the basic facts:
Can you show me where it hurts?

7. The past is gone.
It went by like dusk-'til-dawn...
Isn’t that the way?
Everybody’s got their dues in life to pay.

8. I tried to call you before,
But I lost my nerve.
I tried my imagination,
But I was disturbed.

9. If love is surrender...
Then whose war is it, anyway?

10. Yes, I am a pirate...two-hundred years too late.
The cannons don't thunder; there's nothin' to plunder.
I'm an over-forty victim of fate
Arriving too late...arriving too late...

I had to skip two songs in there 'cause they were techno and had no lyrics. Haaahaha.
