Jade's apartment was in disarray.
Her couch had been pushed against the wall, close to the television. Covering both of them was a construct of blankets, a sort of makeshift castle for today's apparent activities. Jade had gotten a lot better at making forts since John had shown her how, and today she was showing all her practice. The turrets for the 'castle' were made out of books and cans of olives, which kept the blankets from falling down.
Standing close to the kitchen, Jade was dressed up in her Halloween costume, the best looking knight costume she'd ever really seen. Getting Dave to play with her had been a bit of a challenge - one that involved many pouting faces and a lot of dragging him towards her apartment - but finally she had been successful. She pointed her foam sword at a bevvy of stuffed animals, appropriately arranged to resemble something like a dragon.
"Give him back, dragon! You can't have Dave!"
