A few minutes before Anthy started cleaning their dorm, Utena had opened the door and found the entire place impossible to clean. She wasn't aware that her roommate was already there, though, so she was slumped against the wall, thinking she should talk to her about helping her clean the room... maybe buy new wallpapers and furniture together. The room cannot be cleaned without... probably a huge vacuum and a crane. New tiles, they needed new tiles...

She sighed. There wasn't any sense in pondering about this. Perhaps she should try and clean it before she arrives! Right, because she was a prince! When she opened the door, however, she didn't expect the whole place to be positively... spotless. How did--?

"Whoa..," she glanced at the bespectacled girl. "...My roommate?"

When the pink haired girl entered the room, Anthy looked up briefly.

"Oh, hello." She murmured, her voice sounding kind.

...She seemed pleasant and welcoming enough. Perhaps a little too welcoming, but Utena assumed she was just pleasant by nature.

"Hi!" Utena greeted cheerfully. When she entered the room, she didn't want to ruin the immaculately clean floor, so she took off her dirty shoes. "You're... Himemiya, right? I'm Utena, Utena Tenjou."

Anthy went back to wiping the windows as she answered the girl.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Utena."

"It's a pleasure to meet you too, Himemiya." She placed her bag on the table, keeping her eyes on the girl. Well, she seemed normal enough...

"I'm sorry I wasn't able to help. I didn't know you were here already..."

"It's no problem." She said, scrubbing fervently at a spot on the window now. "I don't mind cleaning."

...Well, that was odd. Most people didn't like cleaning. Utena just assumed she was one of those motherly people. She seemed to be very kind, at least.

"Um... well, I should really organize my stuff!" Utena scattered her stuff on the floor and began stacking them in the closet. She felt that the silence was too awkward, so she tried to fix it by picking up a conversation. "So, Himemiya, what do you like to do...?"

...Wow, most people would have just let Anthy do it herself. That was unusual. As for things she liked to do...

"Gardening, I suppose."

Utena waited for another reply, but it seemed it was unlikely.

"...And?"

"Reading can be nice at times." She answered, moving from the windows down to the carpet and reaching for the floor cleaner.

"That's it?"

"I like some animals..." She answered, visibly stretching for answers.

"Do you have... friends?" Utena hoped she'd say yes.

"Not many." She said, not even looking up from the floor.

"At least you have friends!" Utena exclaimed happily, delighted. "Um, who are they? Are they in our class?"

"Miki, I suppose." ...Yes, only one.
