Sorry for the hiatus, here's an update:
About a month ago -- while I was on my 'staycation' -- one of our regular employees B. left suddenly for 'personal reasons'. i.e., here husband got drunk and smacked her one, and she ditched his sorry butt. Yay her! Boo us. It was a clufter-suck of suckitude, because it's also vacation season. So B. left, the shift supervisor H. left, and employee T. went to Burning Man and shift supervisor M. went to Strawberry Music festival, and employee K. went to Costa Rica. Also Rx tech R. went to the Philippines to visit her family, while A. the Rxist is on maternity leave.
Q: If a store has 4 Rx employees and 10 front end staff, and 2 Rx staff and 5 front end staff are not available, how much more does an otter have to work?
A: Hella. Hella work.
So in and amongst partial and full pharmacy days, I've also been working back-to-back closing v. opening shifts. x-X I'm pretty drained. I need a vacation, wahhhhh...
So noodlesandbeef stopped by yesterday (you all remember Cowdolf Dylter, right? >;3 ) and he's all muscley and beardy and sooper-high-energy and I hadn't even had lunch or breakfast yet and was turning into furniture... I think I made a poor impression on his hot Hot HAWT ginger-bear BFF. and didn't get his in return. x_X! Also, I forgot to offer them our free discount card, so they can get all the sales and an additional 10% off of our house brand products EVERY DAY~
(You can tell I have to say that at least 50 BRAZILLION times a day, can't you?)

So... yeah. I'm not getting the Shift Supervisor job because of the new freakin' District Manager, so I'm channelling all my energy into learning all kinds of things to improve my edge as a potential Rx tech. (e.g., these are all from memory: Ambien is Zolpidem Tartrate, and it's a hypnotic/treats insomnia. Celexa is the name brand for Citalopram, an antidepressant. Alprazolam is an anti-anxiety medication, more commonly known as Xanax. etc.)
So anyway, work aside... eh. Home isn't much better. While I lurve living with my boyfriend and not being at home, I hate being out in the boonies and away from the convenience of, say, 24-hour grocery stores, and I miss the forest.
Today, we're hoping to go hiking either in Henry Cowell State Park or Nisene Marks State Park with CW, my wolf's buddy's girlfriend. The buddy isn't coming, as he mysteriously vanished into Arizona from the 27th to the 13th of this month. WTH.
HINT: If a Moo and a Burr wanted to go hikies with a Wuff and an Ottott and a Raccoon-chick, I'm sure we'd be down~ ;3
