Hi y'all I have simply too many blogs going. I know many of you loathe Face Book and I'm not happy with some things about it myself. So I'm leaving LJ and will be posting the same sorts of things (and hopefully more often) on my website's blog. Hope to see you there!http://www.flewelling.

Aww, sad to see you go - it was so convenient here, seeing your new posts automatically appear on my flist. If your web designer could set up a button to get notifications when you post something new on your blog, that would be great. Thank you. :) Oh and I really like the new look of your site!

While waiting for that, you can still get notified of a new post with the RSS feed, which you can get by simply replacing /blog/ by /feed/ in the address Lynn gave in the post above.

If you have a netvibes-like homepage, you can create your own widget and there you have it: notification for every new post!

Thanks. I'm not sure what you mean by "a netvibes-like homepage" - here on LJ? I'll see if I can figure it out, if not I'll just have to wait until we got a follow button. :)

Yeah, sorry, I was talking about the homepage of your browser. Netvibes is my browser homepage and you can follow the RSS feeds of all the things you're interested in, in the form of widgets that display the latest posts.
It doesn't have to be your homepage, by the way. It can be just another web page that you visit every so often to check for updates on everything you like at the same time.)

Meanwhile, I remembered that you can add RSS feeds to your LJ flist, so I went ahead and did that. Though I don't think my existing ones have been working recently... I'll have to wait and see, I guess!

Do you mind letting me know how to do that? I would love to add a feed but dont see an obvious way how to do that. The one you were chatting with is above my techy level, so hopefully I'll understand your method. Thanks tons!

Now that I've created it, you should be able to go here: http://otterdanceblog.livejournal.com/profile and subscribe to it, so new entries will appear in your flist. Hope it will work for you. :)
