Movie Option Expires

Bad news, folks. Despite the best of efforts, C-Squared was unable to find backing for a Nightrunner project. I am, of course, disappointed, but this is a common outcome for these things. That doesn't mean there may not be another try in the future, but for now, Alec and Seregil remain on the page.

Awww, too bad. Hopefully soon!

Speaking of a Nightrunner film - I'm not sure if you've seen the BBC's updated version of Sherlock Holmes, Sherlock (2010), which just aired as part of PBS's Masterpiece Mystery series in the US? It struck me that the actor playing Sherlock Holmes, Benedict Cumberbatch, might make a good Seregil *points to icon*. Though I guess he may be a bit too tall and lanky. For more pics, I can recommend cumberbatchfans. :)

I LOVE the new Sherlock series! I had reservations on the updating, but they did a brilliant job of capturing the characters. I really like Watson in this version, who often gets short shrift. i thought the same aobut Benedict. Lanky is good and height can be dealt with in film magic.

Heee, isn't it great?! I hadn't heard of it, but then happened to zap into the press conference scene of the first episode on the BBC. Rupert Graves caught my eye, so I kept watching. I'm SO glad that I did! I agree, Watson is fabulous (let alone Sherlock, oh my), and the chemistry between Martin and Benedict is perfect. If only the wait for the second season wasn't so long!

Daalgjkldkjalkfjaeriunvcxnmzclkadflfgjkalsdkgjadkgjajl!!!

That incomprehensible keysmash translates roughly as: "I JUST FINISHED WATCHING SHERLOCK AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH AND I MAY HAVE TO STEAL THE CRAP OUT OF THAT ICON IF YOU DON'T MIND." Roughly. I reached the end of the series while on a bus back to where I go to school and reacted with quite audible horror when it ended. I'm sure the other bus people were a little alarmed.

I actually had the exact same thought about Benedict Cumberbatch, especially because of his eyes, his eyes are the eyes the Seregil in my mind has. 0.o

Oh I know - I was SCREAMING at the TV when ep 3 ended. Good thing there was no one else around, hee hee. And steal away - that's actually one of my own. I have a few more simple ones here, but I can recommend sherlockbbc if you are interested in icons/wallpapers/art/fic/etc.

Glad to hear it's not just me who thought that about Benedict! :D

I really, REALLY wanted to scream more, but people were already staring a bit because I was flailing, so I just sort of curled up in a ball for the last five minutes of the trip and then pretty much attacked my friend when he came to pick me up from the bus depot. He is a hardcore fanboy of a few things, so he was understanding of my spluttering spoiler-free ranting and distress despite having not seen the series (yet).

Yay! Thanks! Ooh, and I appreciate the links. I'm an icon/wallpaper/art/fic addict, so this is fantastic!

I'm stealing this one. I've only seen the first two, but this is one of the greatest lines ever.
