Editor, trying to find some direction on the face change, asks me which actor I would cast as Alec. After much thought, I decided that the late Jonathan Brandis is probably the closest. I know a lot of you will disagree, but this is the closest I've gotten to how he looks in my head

Wow, I really agree with your actor choice for Alec. That actor looks very much like the Alec that I pictured in my head as well. :) He's got the more boyish face that I think of when I think of Alec and he looks like a determined young man rather than a stern viking.

Brandis is pretty much how I mentally pictured Alec. So, yay for the choice!

I agree. I imagined him slight but still strong-looking, somehow. The face is similar to how I imagine him. The body, meanwhile, is too like my little brother's!

Oh, I always thought Jonathan Brandis was a cutie and his likeness works for Alec for me! I must say it's really cool they're giving you input on the cover, I know a lot of authors have no real say.
