Lake Cass - Dead people water

I'm back from Michigan, and I just got a haircut. I'm feeling like I need to make a bigger effort here to find things, else I should go back to Ottawa for a bit.

Yesterday, I went with Mike to Lake Cass to his friends Westland Joe and Nik's. The lake was nice, and it was an astoundingly hot day ~100 degrees (=39 degrees C) Fortunately, the patio were we were sitting was shaded and had a nice breeze. There's a long sandbar along the lake where you can wade in the water. There was an incredible density of boats, there was hardly any spaces larger then 2 m with no boats. We waded in the water a bit, and I decided to try and do a vigorous swim. I learned how bad an idea that is while drunk. I cant think of a time I really exerted myself while drunk. Me and Mike had finished off a large bottle of rosé. When I got ashore, I feel nauseous and crappy. I laid down for a bit, and took a siesta. Afterward, I felt better but didnt feel like drinking. Then We went on a boat ride with the next-door elderly couple around the lake.

We saw some boats dredging the bottom and maybe diving to the bottom. A murdered Filipino woman had recently been found tied to concrete in the bottom of the lake. Now it looked like they were looking for a second body (dump). I might have been swimming in (dammed up) dead people water

Mike is so great, I'm so happy he's in my life. I've never felt like this before.
