Yep, I think that accurately summarizes the situation right now. Dean challenging Lucifer was brilliant, especially in front of the Vatican, and I absolutely love that you didn't have Sam get Italian downloaded into his brain. Because Dean's the best, ha!
I'm really dreading the next 'future' chapter or the time when both timelines merge! I mean, Dean and Michael, dead, and then, either Raph or Castiel, and the remaining archangel won't last long facing Lucy all by himself, and I'm scaaaaared!! Oooh, but maybe that's when God will finally intervene? Or Dean will be revealed as something even more extraordinary? Questions, questions, questions, and SUSPENSE!

He may have changed a lot, but this is still Dean Winchester that we're talking about and some things about him just won't change. Actually now that he's more confident in and aware of his own worth, he might challenge others more as he realizes just how special he is. Probably not the effect that Cas was going for though, oops :)
Yep, it's Debriel, but not quite slash. At least not just yet (I'm planning a trilogy for this, first one Debriel, then Destiel and then all three).
