Title Unexpected Destinies Rating: PG-13 Spoilers: up to and including Exile on Main St., AU from the end of season 5 Warnings: AU, slash Word Count: 2,068 Summary: "You've seen what's starting to emerge from the shadows."
Agreed. I like the way Cas speaks it out loud, and how he cares about Dean like that. I still haven't watched it yet :( I have to wait till tomorrow when the site has posted it. :(
Yes, Cas has never understood social nicities and has always just come out and said what he meant. This will be no exception, especially since he cares for Dean so much. With someone else he probably wouldn't have but that would have been because he didn't care about them. And he's still guilty over staying away so long, though he might not recognize that emotion for what it is... crap, just got another plot bunny.
Yeah, Sam is not looking too good here, but I'm sick and tired of people making excuses for him. Especially after 6.01! Nope the apocalypse isn't over, I can't make things that easy on Dean. Besides, it always bugges me that after all of the hype about Dean being the one, he hardly needed to do anything. BTW, I love your icon!
Thanks. I don't want to say too much, but I'll just point out that the prologue took place when season 6 started, so a year after Sam went into Hell. Here they're talking about Sam having gone in ten weeks ago. So Sam doesn't know that Dean's not at Lisa's for another few months. I will do a chapter that jumps forward again, just not sure where it'll go.
Yeah, Dean really needs to start seeing how Sam treats him as it just isn't right! Blunt!Cas is the real!Cas. He never did learn much sublty. Thanks and yeah, I never believed it could end like that, not after all of the hype regarding Dean being the only one at the start. BTW is that icon snagable (sp?)?
Which is why I feel like they're gonna drag it out because of the way they are and then it's just gonna be.. bamm! Can't live without... or you know, something like that :D
The building of tension is really good in this story, that's why it give sme this feeling ;)
To a certain extent, after that it would just bug me too much as well. There'll be some (note just some) forward progress in what I expect to be chapter 10 as things stand right now, though that may change. Oh, and thanks.

That last bit, over the drinking, was just awesome. And Cas makes sense. Sam isn't worth it.
...This is just what I needed after tonight's episode.
Looking forward to more. x3

Cas is right even if Dean doesn't want to admit it. Dean loves his brother but that doesn't negate the fact that Sam tries him like shit at times.
I just love how Cas is blunt and straight to the point. It can be uncomfortable at times but it comes from a good place.
"I don't think the Apocalypse is as done as we thought it was."
Dun Dun Dun! Nice cliffhanger! But yeah, talk about a job unfinished.
