Title Unexpected Destinies Rating: PG-13 Spoilers: up to and including Exile on Main St., AU from the end of season 5 Warnings: AU Word Count: 2,307 Summary: Sometimes ignorance really is bliss.
Don't recognize him? What, like you think he's OoC? He shouldn't be, you should actually be recognizing him as I'm doing something. I don't want to say too much as it will give away something I don't want revealed just yet.
I think He/She means that this is showing a meaner side to Sam that we like to pretend doesn't exist. I recognize him. At least, all the nasty, mean parts of him. Plus, hell probably changed him at least a little. I'm looking forward to this. Good story!!!!
I like this a lot. I find the characterization fascinating and I'm looking forward to Cas getting Dean back on his feet with a bang. And Sam can shove it!
Thanks. Hopefully I'll have more up tomorrow. The next chapter is done but since I had no computer access it was done by hand and needs typing up and checking.
I'd like to say that I particularly like the way you acknowledged that Sam must have told the Campbells about what Dean did in Hell. That was something I couldn't believe in the Show, and I still kind of hate Sam for it.
Anyway, I like the characterizations you've got going so far, and I can't wait for more when you get back!
Thanks. Yes, I do too, I couldn't believe that he'd done that. I mean we've seen time and time again that he's both willing and able to betray Dean at the drop of a hat, but I still keep expecting better of him. Probably because I believe that Dean deserves better. Hopefully I'll get to type up 7 tonight and post it tomorrow.
I like the argument here between Sam, Samuel and Christian. And I'm really, really excited to see what you're gonna do with the fact that Sam had told them about Dean's time in Hell, because I (and I believe many others) am still not over that fact in canon. I love Dean in here. This is going way so great so far.
Thanks. As for what I'll do with it, it will be a little while as Dean, being Dean, decides to do what he thinks is best. Basically he's gonna ignore it for a bit. It won't work for very long, but he does try time and time again, doesn't he?
And I think Sam and Bobby are foisting their desires for a normal life on Dean because it's what THEY wanted not Dean himself.
As for Sam? What a douche! At the same time though, it's actually in character because he is selfish and self absorbed and believes he knows best. Like I said, he doesn't know Dean as well as he thinks.
Yep, it really can be at times. I agree with you regarding Sam and Bobby. True, Dean did express an interest in that, but I don't think he ever thought it all the way through as he never really expected it to happen and, unlike both Sam and Bobby, he doesn't really know what it means. They've both had the normal life, he never did. It's kinda like wishing for the life you never had because you never had it. Thanks, that was what i was aiming for. I do sometimes wonder if he does know better but, consciuosly or subconsciously, ignores it as it doesn't fit with what he wants to be true.
