Awesome chapter! I love the idea of Cas learning to drive - but he's going to either drive Dean made by being slow and very conscientious, or get some serious road rage ;-)

Yay! This chapter was delightful. I love thisstory so much I read this chapter on my teeny tiny iPhone screen while on a bouncy bus. Lol. Couldn't wait to get home to read it

Well, that went much better than *my* first driving lesson did. The simple affection between Castiel and Dean is heartwarming. There's friendship there, and trust. It's hard-earned, and it's rock solid ( ... )

:) Yes, often first driving lessons go a lot worse, which is why Dean was so sure this one wouldn't, not with the knowledge Cas had from him. And, yeah, they've got a lot of history behind them, a lot of intense history!
As for Sam, well, you'll have to see.
In the end, the RCC is still very much a political institution and those things tend to move slowly when it comes to such life alterning situations. Just think, they only discovered that the Apocalypse had been started after the fact!
As for the rest, you'll just have to wait and see!
Thanks! It was one of my biggest plot ideas for this fic and I'm glad it's been so well received by everyone.

"Yeah, except for the part where it would have caused nothing but trouble. Look, Cas, I don't know how much of my past you're aware of, but Sam and I have gotten into much more then our fair share of legal trouble over the years. This peaked shortly before I went to Hell and while it's true that the FBI now think that Sam and I are dead, it'd just be asking for trouble to put Winchester on your driver's license when the only car you'd be driving is the Impala. You never know if we'd run across the one cop who remembers the old wanted posters or sketches of me ( ... )

Have I ever mentioned how much I enjoy that you pull snippets from the chapter to comment on? If not, my bad, but I do.
As for what you said about Sam, John and Dean, I totally agree.
