I got a second job! :D
Hey there guys!
So I know I told you all about my babysitting job on Mondays (7AM-6PM), Every other Wednesday (7AM-1PM), and Thursdays (7AM-6PM). So I also babysit in addition to that just on weekends and what have you, but Friday night the Ice Cream place I applied for back in May called and asked me to work on Saturday all day for the festival in the square. I had to babysit so I told them I couldn't and they told me they would give me a call back once I was back through the whole rotation...I went in Friday night (before I knew they called) and I met Jim and Richard (my two managers) and they just loooooved me ( ). So I got a call back on Sunday morning asking me to come in for the day and work, and I would be hired full time. So I worked a double shift Sunday (12:30 PM- 9:45 PM) and then I got my schedule for this week, which is Tuesday from 12-4 and Friday from 4-Close. I am SOOOO excited! I love my managers (They own the store. It's a little store with homemade blended ice cream, and they just opened it a few weeks ago) and they insist that we call them by their first name and they are just so cool.
I've got some really CUTE boys that I work with, too! And some really awesome girls! I looooove it. So anywho, I think that that is a long, rambling enough post for now, but I'll be back to inform more about the kids I work with and the CRAZY customers I get!
WAIT! Just ONE customer story! So this guy about 20 comes in (maybe 25? He's pretty young) and he orders his ice cream. I have to say..
"Hi there! Have you ever been here before? (We'll pretend they say no) Alright, here's the run down. You start with a base flavor, Chocolate or Vanilla. You can have that in Ice Cream or frozen yogurt. Then, you add any of our fresh, whole ingredients of your choice *points to board behind self* and we blend it right her on the spot for you, creating your own personal flavor! It's gaurenteed to be the best you've ever had or your money back! "
Annnywho, he ordered, and I was like "So this is all you want? It's just you, right?" Because he came in with a group and I thought he might be buying for a special lady. So he looks me right in the eye and goes "Yep, just me. I mean, unless you count my other personalities, but, we'll share." And I'm just like WHAT THE HECK?! So I rang him up and placed his order with Jimmy (AWW! Jimmy is SO COOL! I lub him! ) and then he comes to the counter, and I'm wearing my John Mayer shirt (which I got dozens of comments from. ) and he is like "So, you like John Mayer?" and I'm like "Yep." And he's like "When did you see him?" and I'm like "Umm, back in September, for the last tour." And he asked which songs he had sang and I was like "Um, basically all of them. It was about a two and a half hour set." And he just KEPT talking. Then after he left he said bye and ate outside with his chums and then came BACK to get ANOTHER ice cream. I was like "You've GOT to be kidding me!" And he wasn't bad looking, but he said he had multiple personalities!
AND SO MANY like, tenish year olds hit on me. I was like.. I hate my life!!
