Oh man, this is going to be the most awesome Fourth of July ever! XD I'm taking the plunge and I'm going to be going to the Mall to see the fireworks. Although it does mean scoping out a place at 10 AM to get a good seat. XP STILL! It will be awesome! Just so long as I find enough people to play Dutch Blitz. ^^; I need four and I've got one friend definitely coming and another's answering tomorrow. Now I just need to find a fourth player. (Or possibly two more people, depending.) But even if there's not enough people, still, I am planning the best picnic ever! :D I'm bringing frozen water bottles (and lemonade mix for them), sandwiches, cucumber sandwiches (because it's SO patriotic), kettle corn, salsa and red/white/blue chips! (I kid you not, I have them! XD) and strawberries, apples, carrots, almonds and watermelon! :D My other friend's bringing dessert, so I'm probably not bringing the strawberry-rhubarb pie I bought (which would have been hard to carry at best). ...I will be the first to admit, I do kind of go a little overboard when it comes to festivities involving food. ^^; But to be fair, it IS a picnic and the food's supposed to last for two meals. I'm sure we'll get through it. Oh and of course, I'm wearing my USA world cup jersey, which looks distinctly like the revolutionary uniforms. XD
But most importantly, I'm going to see the DC fireworks for the first time!!! It will be awesome! I'm so excited! :D Everyone who's been has always said you need to do it at least once. (Although it's rare for them to do it a second time. ^^;)
