I love the Bugle. If I ever need cheering up (which I do today since I learned that I didn't pass the test... which I guess is fine because I didn't study and I didn't have much incentive to pass this time around anyway.... *le sigh*) then the surest way to put me in a good mood are two extremely sarcastic British comedians commentating on the current news. XD
Topic of today: they completely ripped into the McChrystal article in Rolling Stones
found here. Not really due to McChrystal, but mainly due to this line here in the opening paragraph:
Since McChrystal took over a year ago, the Afghan war has become the exclusive property of the United States. Opposition to the war has already toppled the Dutch government, forced the resignation of Germany's president and sparked both Canada and the Netherlands to announce the withdrawal of their 4,500 troops. McChrystal is in Paris to keep the French, who have lost more than 40 soldiers in Afghanistan, from going all wobbly on him.
Namely, they take offense at Great Britain not getting any mention whatsoever. ^__^;; "Either they're ignoring us or they're counting us as the 51st state," John Oliver said, quickly followed by obscenities. XD
Seriously, poor UK. This is pretty terrible journalism on the Rolling Stones' part. ^^; Maybe they should just stick to covering music news.
ALSO THIS: XDDDD
"There's something just very chilling about a smartly dressed shiny black German football team."
"They look like SS Guards!!"
"Oh Christ, don't let them near a machine gun."
(This was pre-Germany vs. England game)
