Matsuken in 2008 TIFF for DMC
Konbachiwa oTOMOdachi! Ohisashiburi minna. I haven't been posting for quite a while now cuz I've been busy with my study. *cough* that's actually an excuse *cough cough* Now that it's over, I am free (for now) to enjoy the upcoming holiday season. I took my last lesson on Tuesday. It wasn't really a lesson as I've written the test on the past Sunday. I said to sensei that I've lost my goal after the test is over. Sensei gave me a lot of suggestions as to what I can do next, but he also told me to take a break for now, at least until the test result is out. If I fail again, then he will teach me again. I really don't know if I'll pass or fail this time. The test was way harder than last year, so all I can do now is to keep my fingers crossed. ( ..)φ
Matsuken in 2008 TIFF for DMC
I've promised to PO more pics of Matsuken in September but I never got around to do it. Now that I have a lot of free time, I figure I'll PO these pics first.
Matsuken came to Toronto in September to attend the 2008 Toronto International Film Festival. He came together with the Director Lee Toshio and the Producer Kawamura Genki to attend the International Premiere of his movie Detroit Metal City a.k.a. DMC. Though I've never heard of the director's name before, I've learned a lot about him after looking him up from Wikipedia. DMC is Lee Toshio's 2nd movie. However, he has been producing and directing TV shows before. To name a few, he is the director of Tunnels no Minasan No Okage Desu and SMAP X SMAP. He is also the producer of Gomagoma Arashi. Sugoi~~~! （*^_^*）
I was suppose to watch DMC with my friend Mr S. However, he made a mistake and we ended up lining up separately. Anyways, I arrived at the venue 3 hours early to line up in the queue. Guess what?! I was first in line!! I started to line up in there while people were lined up going into the venue for the previous movie. Too early? I don't think so. σ(^_^;)
Anyways, Matsuken was dressed in black suit with a green bow tie and a pony tail.
At first, I wasn't able to recognized him as I've never seen him in suit and bow tie before. But then I took a closer look and I was able to recognize him much faster than the people surrounding me! ☆-( ^-ﾟ)v He came in and sat down about 4 to 5 rows in front of me. After a short while, both Matsuken and Lee Toshio were being introduced on to the stage.
After asking them just a few questions, the movie started. Boy I have to say that DMC was a huge success in TIFF. It was hilarious!!! I really love this movie!!! Minna, DMC is a MUST WATCH movie yo! Perhaps you have already watched it by now, but if you haven't, MAKE SURE YOU WATCH IT dayone~! (^ε^)
Matsuken and Lee Toshio came back for a Q&A session after the movie and they stayed on stage for about 15 mins. After the Q&A was over, my friend Mr S wanted to take a pic with Matsuken and so he dashed over to him and I took a pic for him.
I've actually cut him out of this pic yo! Hahaha... ( *＾艸＾)
Afterwards, he told me to go and get his autograph. However, Matsuken had already left the venue. We went outside and Mr S saw Matsuken was still outside signing autograph for his fans. So we took a few more shots of him.
Guess what?! I've got his autograph in the end too! YES! ｷﾀ━━━━━━(ﾟ∀ﾟ)━━━━━━ !!!!!
I actually have 2 videos that I've taken and I want to share in here. However, I've been trying to upload the 2 files to YouTube for hours! I don't know what's happening but the uploads have failed several times already. Anyone knows why? ～┐(￣ヘ￣）┌ 」
