I never post in my Live Journam anymore...
But right now I feel like it...I'm bored and I can't go to sleep...so since i'm bored and haven't posted blogs like this in a long time, i am gonna go ahead and post an update on life...I just moved out of Huntington, where I lived for the past year so that I can pursue my new band Gracer...We have been writing and demo-ing for our upcoming full-length on Revelation for the past few months or so..literally 7 days a week with a few exceptions here and there...I haven't been hanging out as much as I usually do...right now, we're doing pre-production...there are 5 new songs recorded...2 old songs...1 old song completely re-written...1 more old song to re-work...tons of ideas in the works for more songs...the hard work is definitely paying off...We're going to recording with Kevin Ratterman (formerly of the band, Elliott) in Louisville, KY for the entire month of January and then touring for the rest of the year...including a bill on SXSW in Texas this March, which is going to rule. Another thing that rules is that I just got sponsored by C&C Custom drums...i got a custom drumset that is worth a little over 10,000 for the price of 2,000...the idea of my dream drumset being made for me from scratch is a dream come true! I can't wait for the set to come in...I've got another month or so until they show up but it'll be a perfect time cause it'll be around X-mas
In the meantime, I am living back at my parents house in the basement...the basement isn't bad though cause it's big and I have my privacy. the living room, bedroom & laundry room almost make it seem like an apartment more than a basement. I have been working at a bagel place at the Smithhaven Mall and even though that may not sound too glamorous, it's getting the bills paid for now and it's not a hard job.
I'm turning 25 next month, which makes me feel like time is flying by. Because of that, I am going to be trying harder than I ever have to achieve my goals this year and whether or not things work out the way I want them to...I'll just be happy that I tried to do something. Speaking of my birthday, I am having a HUGE party at Niagra in NYC on December 3rd. It's also a bunch of my friends birthdays so we're all celebrating together. that shit will be off the hook, so everyone better come down and get shitfaced!
