Ukraine war as a litmus test
Some time ago I found a few presentations by Jordan Peterson that sounded quite appealing to me. He was very articulate and convincing as far as the criticism of the leftwing political agenda is concerned. Critical comments on political correctness, critical theory, postmodernism, etc. amazingly coincided with my thoughts. It happened that I have not heard him for about a year, definitely for the period after February 24 when the current Russian invasion of Ukraine started. Today I accidentally came across his talks on Ukraine and the war. I was stunned to find how opposed to my understanding his erstwhile appealing comments could be. His assessments of the war, its causes, and Putin’s role and character sounded in total dissonance with my understanding. Peterson is banished from my pantheon and I guess for good.
