I was surfing the web and stumbled on this website, Dreamscape. Such cute graphics! And then, I noticed the avatar used within the last entry.

It's CLAMP's original image, yep! It's part of the 2008 Tsubasa Calendar! :D This is the one, the original really deserves a look. I love it, even if they're all melancholy... *pats their heads*

Btw, some of the BEST fanworks are in the FaixKuro-pii fandom. Lucky bastards. Hee. Do you follow deviantart? I have some GOOD artists for ya if not.
I try to follow deviantart, and end up being in awe of so much greatness that I have to take, like, one hour to recover (and to save all the goodness on my hard disk! X3)
To tell you the truth, until now I haven't found so much about FaixKuropon. So I would be forever grateful if you could tell me your fave artists! *_* Deviantart is such a jungle, some guidance is always appreciated! è_é/

Oh, and about CLAMP publishing issues, I have some (hopefully!) good news!
In an interview (which I can't seem to find now, but I can search more if you want to read the real article) CLAMP replied to the obviously omnipresent question "what about X?" saying they plan to have it finished, but only after concluding Tsubasa, xxxHolic and Lawful Drug too. (and don't they dare forget about Clover! ;_;) The interview was held some years ago, and by now they've finished Tsubasa and are actually working on xxxHolic, so I really hope they will do according to what they told to the fans... still, I'm worried about X, since the design has changed drastically! X is my favorite series by CLAMP, and one of the reasons is the art itself. Now they don't use halftone screens like they used to; more like they don't use it at all, lately I don't think I'll be happy if they resume it but change the art... yet, I'd love to see it finished. I'm praying CLAMP goes back to draw like they used to, to solve all my dilemmas!
Btw, imo this is one of the most up-to-date site about CLAMP out there, and this post sums up all X and Lawful Drug hopes and promises! :D

I've come to the already known conclusion that you are pretty much awesome. :)

. still, I'm worried about X, since the design has changed drastically!
Now that is something that has been on my mind a lot too. I thought their style changed for just Holic but I've noticed that this new style has really taken over all of their new works. And I am not talking about the background use, but really the way they draw their characters. Which makes me worry even more for Clover and Lawful Drug.

I love their new style -- I love all of their styles. But X had a very specific style -- the eyes, the movement of hair, the way the limbs are drawn -- and I love that because it is X. In the beginning of the series the drawing was a bit rough but by vol 8 or so (can't remember specifically) it was beautifully mastered. Same thing with Clover/Lawful Drug -- that style is completely different from all of their works. I believe it's written by specifically one of the four women, right? Can't remember names. Anyways, I think it would be tragic if they came back to those words with their now present style. Not that's it's bad -- it's just not the same feel as the original works.

I read the articles about X that you gave me (thank you!). It does sound very interesting. I heard that there were issues with the publishers but that's pretty interesting about the social issues as well. I didn't realize Holic had been stopped too since I only read the first three books. Hm. Thank you so much!

Ok, so here are some of my favs on deviant art.

I like inma a lot because of the sweetness of her work. It has a playful feel, not very artistic-centric as I usually go for, but it's still fun to look at. It's really adorable and shows the two as a shoujo type couple. Which is nice to see since they go through so much angst in the manga. >_< The BEST part about her work though are the meme's she does which are hysterically adorable. Like this one for example.

Kaoru-chan is my FAVORITE though. She is such an incredible artist just on her on and creates beautiful work with her incredible skill in copic markers. Good god, I just love all her work because of that. And her subject matter with kuroxfai is so lovely too.

I like shirou-kamui as well. She works in watercolors and does some very lovely clamp fanwork.

Belialchan has a very beautiful artistic flow to her work. I love her old looking pallete, which really suits her darker variations of Fai and Kurogane. Her work is sadder looking, but beautiful in its haunting quality.
