UPDATE
INTERNET IS MINE AGAIN. To celebrate this, here are some of my observances and rambles that would have made up the starting point of an LJ post had I possessed the means to actually post them.

1. Using a purely German dictionary whilst reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire got me this gem:
das Loch - eine Stelle, an der nichts mehr ist, an der aber vorher ein bestimmtes Material war. That is, 'a place in which there is nothing, but in which there was previously some kind of material'. Having not used dictionaries very often thanks to a rather alarming and pretentious consumption of books as a child, I am charmed by this roundabout method of describing a hole.
2. After extensive and careful experimentation, I have determined that the cutest Eeveelution for following you around is either Espeon or Flareon. The most obnoxious to fight against is Jolteon or Umbreon, and the 'who the heck decided its best stat should be HP' award goes to Vaporeon, poor thing. Vaporeon would have been in the 'cutest' section but it looks rather odd when you're walking towards the top of the screen.
3. I really fucking want a Gliscor. Where is that Razor Fang.

5. INTERNET I MISS YOU COME BACK
6. It took me nearly a week to actually encounter my Erasmus friends from last semester. Until this afternoon I thought I'd imagined them or something. (I met two of them in the dorm stairwell)
7. Maybe it only occurred to me because I fidget so much all the time, but a great way to get watts on your Pokewalker is to tuck it into your shoe during classes or when you're relaxing in your room, so when you jiggle or tap your foot absently the steps still go up. I've got about 1,500 watts in two days from this.
8. They removed the normal Game Corner stuff because it gave kids a positive view of gambling, but the Voltorb Flip is MORE ADDICTIVE. gj game designers, gj. I tip my hat to you.
9. I want to write fanfiction for XI's SHIELD members. Including ex-members because I demand epic Blackfire and Skip team-up issues. With Orlando. And Flicker. And Astra.
10. where the shit are the comics I like and why are they all so far into the future I want Iron Man right now. I've resorted to following the X-Men arc with Hope in it to fill my comic need.
