Well, my sister and I are cosplaying at the LondonEXPO convention this weekend, and hey, we've finally gotten the costumes finished! (First cosplays ever, so they're full of EARNEST WISHES TO DO WELL but absolutely nothing resembling experience or talent.)
If anyone knows of the 'Ice and Snow' arc in D.N.Angel, we're going as Satoshi Hiwatari and Dark from that plotline.
List of props includes:
1. Daisuke's painting, on canvas, made on a sunny afternoon when I found some old acrylics.
2. Handcuffs! Because, they were THERE when we bought Satoshi!wig AKA Mr. Fluffy, and it was too awesome.
3. "LOST - Daisuke Niwa" posters. We have to explain a lack of main-character!cosplayer somehow.
4. Lots of other tiny things, like Satoshi's notebook, Riku's headband for Dark's hand... etcetera.
I'll be the first to admit that wrecking my old school shirt was by far the best part of Satoshi's costume, other than the adventures of Mr. Fluffy the Wig, which was originally blond.
That coat is made from scratch, to much laughter on my part. It looks pretty damned good, though. (As a side-note, the wings are still not done. They're made completely from one large black umbrella.)
