Talked to Joe yesterday. He's now attached to 5/4 CAV, which is Calvary. Since he's attached to them, he's now allowed to wear the spurs and belt buckle that the Calvary does with his class A's. This isn't too big of a deal, but yet it is. It means that Joe is worthy of wearing 5/4's decorations. It's like when a soldier is at war, and is finally allowed to wear his unit's combat patch. He is now worthy of the patch, to call himself a veteran. Joe takes pride in this, and I don't blame him. Now, if he could only wear his tanker boots with his class A's. That would be awesome.
Watching what I eat. Dressing better. I actually wrote a list, and taped it next to my closet.
1)No soda after 4/13/09
2)No coffee after 4/20/09
3)only one cup of black tea a day
4)eat meat (other than seafood) only once a day
5)cut down on carbs
At least once a week:
6)Bellydance
7)Jog/run
8)Bikeride
9)Use the total gym
I also have a note to myself that I've been smoke free for quite some time, and if I crave a clove, chew on some gum. That's been working well, too. I figured, with the working out, if I do these 4 things at least once a week, I'm working out 4 days out of the week. And if I work out more often, great.
It's working so far. Actually, when I'm done this cup of tea, I'm going to stretch and go for a run. Let's see how much crap I cough up in the process. Sounds gross, but hey, it's no longer in my lungs!
