Family and Mead

I'm back from Kentucky. It was awesome. I was able to spend a week at my sister-in-laws house at Ft Campbell. I forgot how much I liked being on an Army installation. And being around someone who is a deployed wife of a Russell was awesome, too. Chelsi (my sis-in-law) was so open and understanding. We definitely bonded, and I am glad for it. In the summer, I will have her son, Elijah, for a week here in Maryland to visit family and go sight-seeing. I can't wait.

So, I'm drinking Mead that a friend, J, gave Samantha and I. It's called Freya's Kiss. It's so good. I can taste the apples and grapes paired with cinnamon and vanilla. Tomorrow is the Thor's blot at J's house. I'm nervous, but excited. Too bad that Joe couldn't be here to go. He is almost a spitting image of Thor. Maybe when he comes home, we will be able to make it to a blot. We will be back in Kansas, so you never know.

The mead is making my head a little fuzzy, so I will stop before I go too far.
